FWD Life Insurance Thailand extends policy premium grace period and waives policy renewal interest to care for our customers

FWD Life Insurance Thailand has announced the extension of policy premium grace period from 30 days to 90 days for any premium payments due on or before 30 June 2022. The insurer also waives policy renewal interest in order to provide financial flexibility to customers affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

David Korunić, Chief Executive Officer of FWD Life Insurance Thailand said, “The COVID-19 pandemic situation remains challenging and we’re conscious of its impact on many of our customers. FWD Life Insurance is committed to supporting our customers in getting insurance protection as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve.”

Details of the measures are as follows:

1. We have extended the policy premium payment grace period to 90 days for all in-force insurance policies due on or before 30th June 2022. In case the insured wants to exercise his or her health claim, the insured must settle any outstanding premium payment before any claim is reimbursed.

2. We will exempt any renewal interest for customers who want to reactivate or renew their lapsed policy or whose policy turned to automatic Extended Term Insurance (ETI), Automatic Reduced Paid Up (RPU) or forced surrender. Such exemption will be extended from 30th June to 27th December 2022, unless the interest incurred on policy loans.

3. We will waive the interest, incurred from now until the 30th June 2022 for the policies that go into an Automatic Premium Loan (APL) stage, for a maximum of 90 days.
